"Reach Out & Touch Someone"
The twenty-three man, 10th Mountain Division, scout platoon was always referred to as the Spectre Platoon.
For all mission intents and purposes, this is what they answered to, this was their code name on the radio, this was their call-sign.
In the call-sign culture, the Platoon Sergeant will answer to the 7th derivative of the call-sign, and the Commander/Officer will answer
to the 6th derivative (i.e. Spectre-7 and Spectre-6)
In the rare case a Sniper Section is attached to the unit, the Sniper Section leader will answer to the 5th derivative, hence, Spectre-5.
